5 effective home remedies to prevent symptoms of lung disease

Ginger
In addition to providing various health benefits, ginger is an amazing herb for treating asthma. Ginger contains certain compounds that can help reduce airway inflammation and inhibit airway contraction.
Ginger can be taken in various forms – just cut one inch of ginger, peel and grate it. Add grated ginger to a cup of boiling water and let it steep for about 5 minutes. Allow to cool and drink it.
You can simply make a juice with equal quantities of ginger, pomegranate, and honey. Consume the mixture 2-3 times a day for better results. Chewing on a small piece of fresh, raw ginger can help soothe your tummy.

Garlic
Garlic is packed with a number of compounds that provide relief from the asthma symptoms.
Just crush 5-6 cloves of garlic with some water to form a smooth paste. Extract the juice from this paste and consume it 3 times a day. To enhance the taste, you may add 1/2 teaspoon each of honey and lemon juice. This can be taken every day.
If you can't stand the strong taste and flavor of garlic juice, boil few garlic cloves in 2 cups of water. When the water reduces to half, pour the tea into a cup and drink it while it's still warm.
Figs
Figs are another great natural remedy for treating various respiratoy ailments, including asthma. Just soak some dried figs in water overnight and eat them in the morning on an empty stomach.
Honey and lemon
Honey is one of the best remedies that can help soothe a soar throat, quite a cough and alleviate symptoms of asthma. Honey may also reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes (airways within the lungs) and help break up mucus that may make it hard for you to breathe.

Likewise, lemon juice is loaded with antioxidants that can strengthen the immune system, and may help clear away mucus.
Squeeze out 1/2 lemon juice into a glass of warm water. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to warm lemon water and consume it at least 2-3 times a day.
Mustard oil
Massaging the chest with mustard oil during an asthma attack can help clear the respiratory passages and restore normal breathing. Heat the oil and let it cool down a bit. Gently massage the chest and upper back while the oil is still warm for a quick relief. This process can be repeated several times a day until the asthma symptoms recede.
